you gotta remember that it was a cyclo-cross race, thus I had to conform to the appropriate semi-roadie dress code!!

Well, you didn't do a terribly good job of conforming.
In fact, if I was pushed, I'd say you deliberately got things wrong to be a non-conformist.
Overshoes are NOT worn in CX races, you need to be able to run, and they pick up lots of heavy mud.
Baggy shorts, and worse still, baggy TIGHTS (?) are not worn either....

Sean, don't mention the baggy tights. It's not Fergals fault that he's got little stick-legs. Maintaining those arms isn't easy.

and its not really baggy tights so much as wrinkly knees ... sure he's practically in Vets at this stage

Loads of presents, theres air from New Zealand, water from Japan, some dirt from Thailand and my personal favorite, hair from Vietnam. All very pricey and sought after goods.......

sean can you not see that the bottle is accentuated by his race number, it makes for a perfect ensemble, which as we all know is the most important thing in road/CX racing.
