View Full Version : K Cap - Sat Pre Ride
Anyone heading down on the Sat to check out the course?
I'll be heading down if I can get the day off work and can give someone lift if they like.

I'll definitely be heading down to check out the course. If it's anything like last year it'll be pretty spectacular.

Yep, Me and Ash will be heading down on Saturday for some riding, it the only time in the year you are going to get a chance to ride it and well worth it to get used to the course.

If anyone can offer a lift to the preride bit (not to mention the race!) it would be much appreciated. In Terenure but will cycle anywhere, pay petrol and bring nice food and drinks!

FYI - you need to sign-on to practice on the course on Saturday so don't forget to bring a few Euro. This will save you having to do it before the race.

If any one has a MAD jersey that I could use for the racing (Large Size) it would be good. Promise I will return it clean and smelling of one of those meadows you see in the adverts. Or is there any sign of the club kit?

Grand, Thanks Paddy.. Me and Ash will be leaving from Lucan from both days so we have space for one. Cost will be the standard issue of one Jaffa cake :->
What time are most heading down for? 10am?
PS: as mentioned, I have room for one more in the car on both days (if I'm off work sat)
Course is open for preriding 1-3.30pm, with the last riders being allowed onto the course at 3pm.
So not 10am...
Was giving a hand the other day on the course - it's amazing. The rock drop thing from last year is in (probably not for the sport race) - most technical feature I've seen in a race :)
The singletrack is incredible - twisty, fast, flowy, technical, it's got everything. No real monster climbs, or at least, nothing too steep.
No big climbs...thank god..I might have a chance of not coming last, hope the rock drop is in the sports, I'm not bad at them.
Also, anyone got LRG MAD jersey I can borrow for sports????
Can give a lift down in return.

I'm really encouraged to see so many getting into this race series - I'm sure all you first timers will enjoy it as much as everyone else - seems like there'll be an awful lot of MAD shirts (borrowed or actually owned!) on the start lines - will be great to see - it's a really good idea to get down on Sat for some practice laps, best of luck to everyone racing!
