The entry forms for Mountain Mayhem come out this weekend? Any one thinking of doing it? I am told it fills up very very quickly so you need to get entries posted off ASAP.

Well its teams of four? (will read more at lunch) and I am actually back in the UK this weekend so as long as Ash gives me permission to and do it? I can fill in the form and post it while I am in the UK and we should get an entry.
Any other takers? (Pending me actually doing it, if not I could fill it in for other people)

ollie, we had a team of 5 last year, me, alex, oisin, nigel and judith. Think there was a good few teams of 5 too.

Steve, there's really only one place to find this kind of crucial information:

how does this event actually work? do you rotate the rider every number of laps or?

Yeah its a relay race so you have a team armband which you pass on to the next rider after each lap. Laps take 50 minutes plus so most people do it one lap per rider, then pass on to the next person. So for a team of 4 or 5 people you get a few hours off between each lap for sleeping and eating.
I did it last year and would really recommend it. Don't think I'll be able to make it that weekend this year unfortunately.
Hmmm, sounds really interesting... I have been thinking about doing a 24 Solo for a long time. I think it might kill my body for too long afterwards though. I wish there was a nice 12 hour race around then as the longest race I have taken part in so far was an 'easy' 5.5 hour one. (100km off road in the UK)
Did the solo stuff fill up as fast as the team entries?

I am not sure to be honest I can ask some of my friends who are doing it from the UK and find out later today.

Just been chatting and I am told it fills up just as quickly so I would get those stamps out and get posting tomorrow morning. Or if you send me your details I could fill it in tomorrow morning and put it in the post box in the UK.

Last year we contacted the organisers about entering cause they wanted to be paid with a sterling bank draft (difficult and expensive to organise from Ireland) and to include a UK stamped and self addressed envelope which was also hard to arrange from here. They were very obliging and entered our team for us and we didn't need the self addressed envelope and we paid the entry fee at the event when we signed in. So if you're having problems just contact them and they should understand. I don't know why they don't have an online registration system where you can pay by credit card.
