now I mean early, like Shane lavelle early, but earlier, started at 5:55am - all done by 6:50am, then off to work - feel great - nice and energised for the day.
I'm tellin' ye now boys, if that forecasted snow doesn't feck off away from Bray, I'll be having words...with........err.........who looks after the weather? Is it Labour or Fine Gael?
I've just got my tyre choice decided on for Sunday and am not keen to de-goop and change tyres and re-goop!

Speaking of de-gooping, Steve got a puncture in his tubeless tyre yesterday which didn't fix itself. He whipped off the tyre and out falls a lump of congealed latex the size and shape of a large trout. Is this normal?

what tyre are you planning to use for the first race Fergal.
Morgan,
what was he using as sealant. I had a small tear in my tyre on friday, and it took quite a while to seal with watered down copydex. I had to deflate the tyre and rub both sides together to try and encourage sealing. Luckily it was still liquified.

Commute to work by bike if you can - then you get 5 early road training sessions in per week, and you don't have to sit in traffic jams or pay for petrol!
I've found that tyre sealant in tubeless wheels dries out over a few months so you have to put in new stuff every now and then. Don't know if this is the same with specialist sealant but happens with copydex/water. Its dries out quicker in warm weather also.

trout shape?
large trout shape?
quite extraordinary!
sounds fishy.......
it shouldn't have dried-out so quickly,
that's kinda worrying, since I recommended the Stans to Steve, and Morgan, and Ryan bought some off me too - I could be in trouble ....I have the same solution in both bikes, not probs as yet - one small hole sealed itself ok, no others that I've seen....

Nah you're still safe Fergal. Yeah I am not impressed with that copydex stuff at all. I have had two punctures, one up Prince Willies (it didn't seal) and another tiny one yesterday that wouldn't seal because all of the copydex was solid!! Will have to check the front one although I think it is still liquidy. Weird...

how long had the copydex been in there steve? what sort of mixture did you have in it? (50-50 or what?)
I just took off some tires after 6 months and the sealant was still liquidy.

"what tyre are you planning to use for the first race Fergal."
I'll tell you Cormac if you promise you'll race Experts....
Here's a clue - Oisin and Steve use them too - we have formed a sub-club based on our tyre choice...

That time is really sick man.. Nobody should be up that early midweek. You never know, you might meet Tom coming home one of these mornings if your training in the right spots.
Yeah Paddy, I did it about 50/50 and it has been in there about 3 months. The front one seems to still be liquidy but the back one hardened up. Think I remember thinking the front one was a bit liquidy (did it first) and sticking an extra bit of copydex in the back. Anyway, those days are behind me. Am onto Stans Wonder Milk with micro sealing particles. Muhahaha the Crossmark Trio are going to be unstopable with this stuff in us!! (never mind the EPO)
