Hardtail Bike

i would like to buy a bike as soon as possible. basically i'm looking for a bike for the roads, but one that can go off road (hills and woods) as well. a hardtail. would also like it to be light. open to offers, but wouldnt be paying over €400 for it.

Are you really going to be riding offroad in the woods? Getting a bike that is offroad-able will make it a real compromise on the road.
