View Full Version : [WANTED] New or nearly new crank set
I'm a bit clueless when it comes to parts and my current crank set on my 'Lapierre FSX dual suspension bike' is broken. Would anyone have new/ nearly new crank set for cheap or suggest a good one thats not too pricey.

Broken how?
The chain ring has detached from the crank, the rings are pretty worn anyway.

I have a LX crankset spare in the shed. If it suits you, you can have it. Its octalink by the way.
Octalink? Not sure what that means but let me know how much your looking for it. If your out the park tonight I could take it off you then.
Did you you find one Paddy?

hey liam,
yep i did, its a shimano deore one .. also octalink .. which is what you bike has as far as i could see, so in this case octalink=good.
The rings will be a little worn anyway but should be ok. I'll have a look at the detail of it tonight (i.e. check if the rings are any good) and get back to you

laim, if you need your fork serviced (as I rem the sqelching on Sun), you might want to get Robin Seymour to do it for you, he only charges 50bob! Sean swears by his workmanship and he's fast too! (not sure with KCAP if he's snowed under).
someone might have his details here or you might get them on www.mtbireland.com
