Meeting at 7:15pm at Taylors Pub, then cycling on up to the Leadmines for a few laps of the EPIC course. Everyone can go at their own pace. All welcome.

won't make this one Oisin, I got all my trainig done early this week - as opposed to the previous time before the last race when I was still training on the Friday - not a good idea I found.
the place is riding really well up there if the weather holds-up
I tagged-onto the end of the epic non-savage Tues night spin and was brought down a section I never rode before - it's where you would turn up right to go to the boxing ring, but instead, you continue on straight over a rocky hill and down the far side
there's one really scary bit where you have to ride a rock slab up high on the left, but ride it too high and you fall into the quarry on the far side, some craic on the hardtail, all I saw was black where the quarry was - spooky stuff - would like to see it during the day, or maybe it'd be too scary to see the fall that awaits....

By the way I should have said meeting at Palmers Pub, not Taylors.
Yeah I think I know that bit Fergal - it comes out after a while onto the road around the back of the leadmines? Haven't been down it for ages.

Fairly rough night on the bike. Track is in good condition up there. Only myself and Oisin setting out and did a lap with the epic lads before heading over to the boxing ring track. Fairly tough in the lashing rain with all its off camberness. Naturally, we had a good bitch about what tyres some people were running and where we could save some grams on new wheels. Then more laps of the epic course before heading over to barnasligan and down the track to the road. Had a bit of a bad one here. Coming down the muddy shoot, one foot clipped out (serves me right for hesitating) and came off. Think I hit my head somewhere as everything got very swirly and I can't remember much after that until we were back cycling on the road. Thanks for looking after me Oisin, head was all over the place tonight (bloody helmet is too big!)

wooh - glad you're alright, but I think I may have cursed you - I did the exact same thing in the exact same spot on Tues night, foot clipped out on the way down (could have clipped those rocks which are becoming a lot more exposed now)
and splat, though I only suffered a cut knee and some dirt in the face
hardy lads out in that weather...
while ye were getting savage, I went to see that film "In Bruges" with Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson -really good - I'd recommend it
