yay! now i have a new place to waste all my time, especially since i will be off the bike for a good while due to a broken wrist that i got on the woccas yesterday!

Morgan

Fergal won't be here for some time. He's realising the curious laxative effects of a jumbo bag of liqorice. I hear things got pretty messy at the DH race in Moneyscalp yesterday...

yep i sure did, i didnt want to send it out to 300 or so people on the mailing list, so just thought i'd let people on the forum know.
a big thanks to james who kept my pace on the long road cycle back to civilisation, a true gentleman!

surely, great job Morgan, I wonder if my knee is broken and I'll find out later?
it's nice and fat now, hopping around the place since bending my knee backwards and sideways up in Moneyscalp - DH race #2 down the drain, hopefully the next one I actually get a race run in.....
Ah no Fergal!, (you too Barry)...sorry to hear that..What was the track like before you got creamed?...Did our Scrivo join you?..
..A Big Obese thank you to those responsible for setting up the new website, although I notice a distinct lack of an obituary section we'll have to sort that out :)
Fergal

yeah Steve and Oisin were flying altogether - the track was an ideal intro to DH - quite pedally in places, there were even beginners on hardtails doing it, I'd recommend the next one which is on up there on 24th Feb - easily done on a Stumpjumper or similar bike, you could even hack it on a hardtail....
if my knee is better I'm definitely giving it another shot, I'll just bear in mind that knees ideally only bend well in one direction....

Would my Trance be up for it Fergal? Also, do you need a Full Face etc? Get fixed soon too.
shane

>:( and here is an angry one
Barrydanzig
12-02-2008, 06:53 PM
an angry smiley with a uni brow!
yeah richie, it sucks major balls, but if i get a turbo trainer then hopefully it won't affect my fitness too much, it'll just be my techie skills...
Jaysus, a forum! And a proper one too, full of anger, pain and devilment.
Seems familiar, though strangely distant.

mick nice to see ya
Fergal

yes Conor, for sure, that bike would be fine for the race, there's a good bit of flat stuff, everything was rollable/rideable, no jumps or drops, beginners get as much encouragment as the elites, it's a different buzz to xc racing, all over a bit quickly but an intense and fun 2 mins or so.
