Anyone doing the Wicklow 200 this year? I'd like to do it again but I haven't registered yet and I think registration is closing soon. You can still ride it unregistered but you don't get tea and a sandwich at the rest stops - no big deal.

Would be good to get a few from the club riding it.

Signed up for the Wicklow 100, should be a good crack, the potential for carnage on the downhill by the powerscourt wall and humpback bridge if it is a wet day is truely stunning!

signed up months ago, will definitely do it as it will be after my exams, probably the 100k though, need to get slick tires for the cube

did 100k last year and was planning to do 200k this time but havent had time to train properly and dont have a road bike, can try if someone else does it as well but not sure if its a good idea to do the full thing on an mtb

Anybody fancy getting some (long) spins in, prior to this? I would like to do a few with a bunch of people to get used to travelling in a pack.
Those who were in Spain know how unpredicatable I am when in a tight group going at speed (ask Liam!)

not sure if its a good idea to do the full thing on an mtb

Jarek, one thing that'd make a huge different, is putting a nice thin pair of slick tyres on your bike. Its unreal the difference that'd make.

I just signed up, and that's what I'm going to do.

wait a minute.. I just signed up.. DOH!!

don;t forget that weird breathing thing you were telling mel about.

We'll also need some start line elbowing lessons from Mr Heavy, don;t want any old grannies on their shopping bikes getting in our way

It's getting close alright. The next step in my training is to figure out how to shave my legs properly.
