"until darkness takes hold"

wooh - excellent name for a metal song Barry - you should get in a band - I'll come to your first gig

i hope it rains to add to the pain on friday during this race pace spin, then a bit of slayer - rain in blood would be perfect.

if your lucky you may be able to hear to hear my music blaring from the top of helfire, it will pick you up from that friday evening work slump!

oh and fergal, the song is being written as i speak...

remind me to tell you about the metaller up Hellfire on National Slayer Day 2 years ago Barry - he was the coolest guy on earth, himself, a rake of cans, and a boom box blasting out "Necrophobic" - I bowed down before him.....

just a reminder about this spin, would be cool to have some chaps out for a bit of banter and race training.

surely there are some people who would like to skip work and go racing?!

good to hear you're moving again Barry, I won't be there but try to find yourself some tricky/rooty/techy stuff if you can, and if your wrist allows, coz Djouce will be a real skills tester

i remember djouce, its well techy, its a shame i won't get to pre-ride on saturday as i have work commitments, but hopefully on sunday morning i will get one lap done just so i'm not riding blind.

tomorrow will be my first mtb session in over two months, incidentally, it will also be my first time on my 'new' hardtail, last time i rode a hardtail i broke my wrist....lets hope i have some skills (and nerve) left to handle the beast.

all are welcome as we are doing laps at our own pace, so feel free to come along even if you have no intention of racing.

what an evening for a spin up hellfire, absolutely perfect conditions. just me and shane "six bikes" geoghan made it out, but shane had to leave early and then liam turned up on his spesh for a lap or two. after liam departed i was once again on my own and continued on with another few laps. i think i ended up doing 6 laps of hellfire and one of masseys. i was also messing around on that new rock garden someone has built up there...it looks so out of place, but its pretty sweet.

gotta say the nerves were at me on my first descent (even in hellfire which isn't very difficult!) flashbacks of broken wrists were seen...but then i seemed to be alright, and i spent my time trying to get used to riding a hardtail again.

can't wait for sunday now!
