Am I right in saying that we have to register with
<pre><</pre>
<a> Cycling Ireland </a>
before we have any medical insurance while out on cycles?

to my knowledge you have to be a member of cycling ireland before you can join mad, i might be wrong though.
Yeah - this year most clubs (all maybe) are saying that cycling ireland membership is compulsory. It's not a particularly bad thing - also, you have to do this if you want to race (which everyone should give a go :)) anyway.

That's correct - Cycling Ireland membership really is essential. This can either be standard membership or a racing licence. According to the site this provides you with:

Personal Accident Cover

So you'll be covered if you injure yourself, or someone else on a ride.
