This is a joke of a track for Round 2...you could ride it on a 4inch trail bike...good craic I'm sure but it's not worthy of WC status....I wonder how they pick the tracks, SA was poor enough.

Canberra last year was total joke, in a dvd I watched they all expressed how shite it was. It was on a hill half the size of three rock. Yet this year Canberra is where the World Champs are on...


I wonder if Ireland could host one, if they can do it in Fort William why not here?..I assume there was no cable-car or gondola system in SA? Maybe Ryan or Mel could let us know?

Looks very tame alright :( Imagine a world cup round up 3 rock ! Wow that would be class! I'd say an unreal track could be made too... Or off the top of the sugarloaf! Get a bulldozer up there for a few weeks.

Ireland has tried to hold the European XC champs before... It takes a good track, a lot of passionate people behind it and some luck...

Could Ireland hold a WC DH? In the past, I heard we did not have big enough hills, but the SA course, despite it being so long, started at around 1050m above sea level and finished around 700m... We can easily manage 350m. The top section of the SA course looked pretty tough but most of it I would ride on my XC bike easily. The middle section, the XC bike may be more suitable!

Still, as with XC races, things get a lot more tough when you hit it at 70kmph :)
