Kilmashogue Hill climb records - new route

Hey, since the old route of the Kilmashogue hill climb seems to be strewn with fallen trees almost every time I get up there (which is more than Fergal's two times;)) I was thinking if we could put up a record table for the new route - can't believe they actually re-routed the Wicklow Way on this bit too!


Anyway, I'll make the start with 15:48 - not sure what Ryan's record is so far?


And what's the story with the accumulating burned out cars on the climb???

The cars probably can't get up the last few hairpins and just burst into flames.

I'd like to see the Silver Bullet pitted against White Thunder in a sprint up the 'Shogue.... which one would be first to a fiery doom?

I've never been up Kilmashogue Hill, whats the route?

Ahh, the Kilmashogue hill climb :) It is the one that starts by the M50 if you were heading towards Cruagh from Taylors direction via the road.

second paragraph. Basically, nice hard climb that apart from a couple of places is not very steep. The time I did the record up it, the lowest gear I used was big and 3 as far as I remember :)


The new route - I would say I could do a sub 12minute on a good day. I don't like the idea of changing the route though... The trees will be cleared soon enough no doubt.


Silver Bullet v White Thunder... How many people in the cars? I'm going to have to weight weenie the bullet for this one... A 1l engine is not up to much :(
