Saturday 4th Easy/Fun spin

Hey All,

This saturday we'll be going for a nice easy spin around 3 rock taking in the best that dublins MTB Mecca has to offer.

Meeting at ticknock carpark, ready to go at 10am, here's a map

Don't forget the spin essentials ... a working bike, helmet, water, bit of food, rainjacket (don't be fooled by the weather .. this is ireland after all). Gloves are handy too.

I won't be out off-road on Saturday. I'd probably be able for it by then, but it would be my first day back on the bike so I think I'll play it safe this Saturday but be back the next weekend pushing my limits until they or I break :)

hi guys, delighted to see that these saturday spins are going ahead so regularly now. this saturday i'll join a beginners spin in kindlestown, but sure with the fitness hopefully getting better I'll be back for one of the next saturday spins, had a great time last time

Would be interested in this,but am only a beginner to this MTB lark.Did the Epic beginner 2 spin the other week and enjoyed it.But it also made me realise just how far off the pace I am compared to the proper MTB lads and girls.If you're willing to show me the ropes at a steadier pace I'd love to join in.I finished the Epic spin with the group,but only because they took it easy and had 2 minute regrouping breaks at the end of each section.Plus everyone was very supportive and had good advice.:)

ps Just re-read my post,makes me look like a no hoper,but I'm willing to put in the effort 110%.Regards,Micky

I bought MarkG's Scott Boulder. I've been out on it a few times but tomorrow will be its first foray in the hills! No luck with the insurance on the specialized. I was kindly given a PFO since it wasn't kept in the apartment itself :(

If you don't get a lift it's only a 30 minute (or less) ride from town.

I'd like to say a big THANKS to you lads for organising todays spin.I'm only starting out,but really enjoyed the spin.The wet weather didnt even bother me.Everyone was nice and was was good to talk to you lads.I'm going to stick at riding my bike every 2nd day,so next time I'll be a bit fitter and quicker.Thanks again,Micky.

15 people out today .. about 5 or 6 MAD and the rest newer folk. Great fun had .. no major crashes .. just a few small slips! Hope to see ye all again soon

right lads ... patience patience .. there will be more beginner spins going on .. but maybe not this weekend as theres a race on sunday so people will be pre riding the course etc.

Also, it won't always be me .. others will be taking the spins as well so the best thing is to keep the eyes on the forum and a post will be put up whenever there is a spin happening
