Usuallly when prepping for the biggest race of the year I like more than a lap in the morning! Especially with a bum shoulder. I thought there was a UCI regulation that meant the day before had to be open for prerides.

do two then .. they're only short ;)

ah no .. yeah it is unusual not to have a preride. Perhaps give them a shout and see what they say

the old man could answer that

it also clashes with the DH nationals

we (the offroad commission) were advised that it is private land and Dromara were unable to negotiate access any earlier so I'm afraid it's Saturday-only access

The XC and DH nationals are always on the same weekend - that's the UCI rule. If it's not held on the appointed date (29th weekend of the year) then the winners will receive no UCI points for their efforts.

Anyone thinking of doing the DH Nationals on the Sunday? Its doable, XC up north on Saturday, then pre-ride the DH course on saturday evening, race on Sunday!

Looking forward to this! :)

Am I right in thinking the nationals is always longer than the NPS Style XC races...thus if a 3 mile lap, we'd be talking lots more laps than normal....so 6-7+ for elites!?
Reckon I'll get dizzy! ;)

I'm not sure if it's any longer but don't forget to bring the mud tyres
