XC NPS Round 1: Ballinastoe 27th April 2008

No sooner are we finishing one savage XC race league than another gets going!


Sorrento CC are promoting a NPS MTB race in Ballinastoe Woods on Sunday 27th April.


Sign on will open at 10:00am and close at the following times:


11:00am U-14 and below


11:30am U-16 and Sports


12:45pm All other categories


The racing will take place as follows:


11:30am U-14 and below


12:00am U-16 and Sports


1:30pm All other categories


Entry fees for the event are


Senior €15


Junior €10


U-14 & U-16 €5


Under 12 Free.


Directions:


From the M50: Proceed south on the M50 to join the M11 which becomes the N11 at Bray . Leave the N11 after 1 mile by taking the slip road at Kilmacanogue. Cross over the N11, following the signs for Roundwood. Proceed towards Roundwood for approximately six miles. Turn right at the crossroads at Djouce Golf Club and continue to the T-junction at the top of this road. Turn left. Ballinastoe is a short distance from here on the right hand side.

I assume this race will be on the old Ballinastoe trails and not the Coillte ones.

Will be interested to see what trails they are going to use. Last time I was up there riding the old trails a lot of them had trees fallen and were in a bit of a state.

I have organised a ride with some work colleagues on the Coillte Ballinastoe trails on the 27th .... any word on which trails they are using?
