Need a little help here....

Was cycling over some rocks and heard the now familiar sound of rapidly escaping air. I'm guessing I was running way too low a pressure and when the rear wheel rolled over the rock it deformed enough to break the seal. It repaired quickly, and when I pumped it up it kept the pressure (to my relief - if it didn't my only other option was to wrestle a crossmark onto the rim).

My question is, should I deflate the tyre to get some more sealant in? I gave it a quick shake and heard some sloshing, but how much is enough? Because of the hassle getting the bloody things on ideally I do not want to touch the tyre if I don't have to.

You should always top up the tyre with sealant after such an incident. Ideally the tyre should be completely filled - this will be about 2.5 litres for an average 2.1 tyre. Allowing any air to remain in the tyre will greatly increase your chances of getting a puncture.

Its a crossmark and racing ralph at the moment and the racing ralph burped ( that's what we pros like to say :-) ). Will top up the sealant anyways. I wonder to CRC sell it by the gallon?
