I have not been out an the bike in a few months( lazy bastard) and have decided that my return should coincide with my change over to clip ins. Was thinkin of buyin a pair of shoes from chain reaction as i already have the clip in pedal.

I was wondering how the shoes fit compared to runners or 'normal' shoes. I wear size 10 shoes but 11 runners due to my exceptionally wide feet!! Any one have any advice on sizin or am i better of goin into cyclesuper..... tryin them on and then buyin off the net?

hey michael,

you're probably better off buying your first pair from a shop so you can figure out what size you need. Some of them can be quite narrow, whereas some styles look more like runners and tend to be a bit wider.

I had to get one size bigger when getting shoes, I also regret not buying the shimano pedals with the plastic surround, everytime on a muddy trail the pedals clog up, I can't clip in and I slip off, at least if I had the surrounds on the pedals I might be able to stay on.
