Change of date for NPS Round 2

I'm gonna miss this one as well...

The race hosted by Cuchulainn up in Carlingford forest has been changed from the 11th to the 4th of May.

and some of the epic regulars had plans for that weekend too, a poor attendance would not surprise me - pretty lame giving such short notice....

Yeah - that change sucks - I probably wont be going up to it either... Pity, not too far, nice course and Carlingford is lovely.

according to epics website the date for round 3 has changed as well. Its now on the 25th of may in Maghermore Quarry. No idea when it was supposed to be on originally though

I might be heading to this one baz , and if so i'll prob be getting a lift with my dad from rathfarnam , so you might have a lift if interested . all i have to do now is convince him ;)

I'm probably going. I think very few will travel though because its a bank holiday, and very little notice was given for the date change. Still, if few travel from other clubs (and thats what its lookin g like) we will finish higher up, and so more points.

Am going to go for a long spin instead of this. They are running the same course as last year which was fairly poor (huge fireroad section in the middle that you have to ride up before riding back down again!!)

They said that the course was the same as the one used for the K-Capital, so that would mean that it is not the one you described... There was a bit of fireroad climbing (about 3 min for me) but the rest of my 17-18 minute lap was on singletrack...


Now, what they said was slightly confusing as the carpark at that end of the forest is on the west side of Carlingford and not the north... must post on their forum.


Your right about the NPS course though - all that draggy fireroad...
