My first topic :)

So what do people think? Format will either be a set number of laps of a course or as many laps as you can do in a set time. Emphasis will be on hell for leather speed which is the only way I can see to make the fairly dull park a bit interesting.

Is this happening tonight (Tues) or tomorrow (Wed)? I have my night lights on charge so either is good with me. The format we used last time was spin over from Whites gate as a warm up, then race two laps and then spin back.

Timing was done by putting the stop watch on the floor (Top of the fort) and then the first person took the time penalty of being first and looking up there time and then had to shout it out to every one else.

Right Steve is banned tomorrow, far to fast for my liking, he should have to turn up on his full sus with a lead weight tied to him. Was a good crac, only three people completed the two laps but thats probably because I was trying to be sneeky and not tell any one the way.

The route for tomorow will be http://www.mtbguidebook.com/route/?map=18 bring a stop watch so you can time your self and some big rocks to tie to people who you think might show us slow people up.

If people are interested for tonight:

After the 3 timed laps of the race circuit, doing some intervals up the road that runs up the middle of the course. It's not far off a KM of solid hill so is good for doing timed intervals.

Not sure if I am going to be able to make it tonight but sounds good to me if I am there.

What time are people heading out tonight?

People meet at the main gate at 7:10 or whites gate at 7:30 and I am pretty sure a few people will head out. I am touch or go if I can make it as I have to fix some stuff on another bike before I go out.

Hope everyone enjoyed the park tonight, just a pitty about the visibility.

Did that chap who we lost along the way make it back ok??

Yes it was good fun tonight, made all the more interesting by almost zero visibility and fairly close racing.

Ended up cycling home in the dark after my lights died. Could just about make out the road

Yeah, I felt rotten afterwards so I guess that's a good sign. Had to spend the whole time on Steve's wheel just so I could see where I was going - that's a fierce fancy light he's got there. He made a gap on the slippery sliddery slopes and I couldn't get up to him again.

Piotr deserves a special mention for navigating in the dark and fog with a little blinky LED - very impressive crash as he was heading home too.

I checked up on Aidan and he's alive and well.
