Hey all,

I lost a screw from one of my cleats and its really bugging me when i try to use my spd pedals. Unfortunately all the bike shops are telling me i'll have to buy a whole new pair and i think thats bull.

So if anyone has anyone has a spare one they are willing to sell me i'd appreciate it.

(incase i didn't get my terms right when i say cleats i mean the things on the bottom of your cycling shoes to clip into your pedals!)

who said you would need to buy a new pair?!?! That is ridiculous!!!!

if somebody doesn't have a spare bolt (i presume they're shimano?), then you can just buy new cleats.

I'm absolutely shocked that they told you that!

who was it?

I assume they meant you had to buy a new pair of cleats which cost about €12 (as opposed to a new pair of shoes) since you only get cleats with new pedals (not with new shoes). Either way buying a spare pair of cleats will give you an additional 3 spare screws, also cleats wear out and have to be replaced at some stage. (PS: grease those screws before you put them in to avoid a world of drilling pain when you do have to change worn out cleats)
