Crank tool

I have just replaced a broken crank set (thanks Paddy) but I'm finding it impossible to get the crank all the way into the bottom bracket, its stuck half way so I'm wondering if any has a crank tool (8mm allen key type) with very long handle so I can get it in all the way?

hey liam, it hsouldn't really be that hard, although it can require that kinda pained look in the face! Maybe try taking it off again and making sure its lined up properly on the splines on the bottom bracket.


If you have an old handlebar you can stick that over the end of the allen key and that will give you more leverage
