Lads,
Had a spill on the blue oyster up 3 rock yesterday and only notice a crack in the lid this morning, should I replaced it now there is a small crack or should it be grand?
What lid would you all recommend?

Bin it.
Depending on the brand they may offer a crash replacement (i.e. reduction on a new one).
I'd recommend whichever one you find comfortable and makes you look awesome.
I was going to buy that same helmet you have Martin, would you recommend it or did it crack easily?

its a giro xen, very popular and quiet strong! its taken a fair few wacks lately and I'll probably get another! think its the same lid as wat Paddy, Ollie and Karl have.

hi Martin,
i know that Giro helmets have a crash replacement warranty with them so your can replace your old lid for around half price and get a brand spanking new one.it involves you sending your damaged helmet to giro but i'm not exactly sure on the details but its definitely worth finding out. Could save you around 50 squid!
i use a giro xen as well and can't fault it at all, great protection, comfy fit even on long rides and it's saved my nogging a good few times! would definitely reccommend even for the high price, although the giro hex is still worth a look in.
hope this helps
While on the subject, what size you wear Martin, I have a big nogin.
