at least they left you with a nice cheesy thumbs up to help cheer you up, not to mention when trying to flag a taxi in town!

Should not have slagged you off Barry - bad Karma. Earlier today I was working on the brakes of the fsr when I neglected to take my index finger out from the spokes before I span the wheel (don't try this at home kids)... the result is a mangled nail and embarrassing bandage. Seriously, not sure if I can ride a bike like this... `

if you look closely you can see all the blood!

Can't complain, I thought for a second I ripped the top of my finger off...

ah stinger man...you should have touched wood after your previous comment!!

did you get it checked out or just stick a bandage on it?

Richie

Well while I was jumping around the kitchen cussin' - the girlfriend popped down to the chemist to get the necessary bits and bobs to put it back together. I think I went into shock for a couple of minutes....

hey all,

just had my meeting with the doctor, i now have a full cast made from some composite type material, and its finished in a lovely matt grey colour!

all going well it should be coming off in 3 - 4 weeks and then i'll start physio, so maybe i'll be able to make it to a few races near the end of the season.

will post new pics later as i'm in college now!

cheers.

was out on my bike today, felt good! but can't grip the handlebars properly yet so hopefully on tuesday when the cast is off that won't be a problem anymore.

they only good thing about not being able to cycle for the last month is that i got my coiler upgraded and didnt get affected when i when i had missing parts, because i couldn't ride the fecking thing anyway!

but here it is in all its glory, it can no longer be cycled uphill...

Looks well Baz. Put a short stem on, and its a bona fide DH rig! Sharpen up the steering too.

Barrydanzig
06-03-2008, 08:38 PM
yeah thats next on the list, along with getting the steerer cut, and an 8inch front rotor and adaptor.

Barrydanzig

don't worry paddy, as soon as the old confidence comes back and some body armour appears in the post box then i'll be going at lightspeed!

that my friend is a set of marzocchi junior t's...they are only 3.5kg...hahaha weight is no longer an issue with this bike.

Fergal
06-03-2008, 10:48 PM
they're nice kitchen units, undertstated yet stylish, real nice......bet those are the drawers that glide in and out real smooth and have a damped-closure mechanism so you can kick them closed and not rattle all the cutlery....

nice tiles too....porcelain? yeah, bet they are.......

jaysus you must be rich Barry......

oh yeah, want kind of CD you want for Sunday?

I can do you a Best of Thrash Metal (according to me), or Best of Speed Metal or Best of Death/Black Metal.....

You want it in CD Audio format? or MP3s?

Fergal
06-03-2008, 11:03 PM
it'll be mostly old skool metal, none of that nu-metal shite now.....

Barrydanzig
06-03-2008, 11:05 PM
this may shock you - total upgrade cost of new forks, wheels, tires...€60...so there is no richness involved!

and yes fergal you hit the nail on the head, those are the air cushioned drawers, very nice indeed!

well if i am not mistaken, if you put them as mp3 format on a cd then you can cram like 10 times more on a cd, so you can give me every type of metal collection under the sun for my turbo trainering!

oh and don't get me started on "nu metal" SHOITE!
