jesus- I always knew I was a better rider a few years ago, this proves it! Although the Boydell fecker is probably going to come on and say he got 4 punctures and broke his arm.... :-)

That was great fun - we should do those again. This time we have turfer surfer as part of the route. I actually did nearly break my collarbone Steve! That was the time I did an over the bars in that bombhole after TToT and landed on my shoulder. No pain with the adrenaline at the time so just jumped back on the bike. Had a week in the Alps booked the next week and damned if I was missing it so managed to get through it with a lot of help from Mr Neurofen. 4 visits to the physio and 6 weeks off the bike when I came back - still worth the trip to the Alps though!

That was some crack alright. Think i had been on 2 beginner spins and then the Dixie Dash!!! It introduced me to two of the main concepts of the mountain biking, A) pain and B) getting back on the bike no matter what.

For all the 'over the bars' incidents the worst pain I had that day was when my calf cramped up at the top of the ferny decent. The end was in sight but it was seriously painfull to get on the bike.

P.S. The most important concepts of biking to me are the sheer FUN of it and the ADRENALIN RUSH. Just in case people thought it was all pain :)
