Leaving Cert Wake Up Call

Hey all,


I'm writing this post while being both disappointed and sad...I received my portfolio results from IADT (I wanted to do Visual Communications there) and I've failed the portfolio stage and thus cannot be considered for entry.


This was the course and college I really wanted to go to so this is a bit of a knock on the head (not meaning to slag Sean) telling me I haven't been putting in the effort, as a result I probably won't be seeing much of ye's for a while as I've decided to put my mind to it and buckling down and studying (as if I could come out MTB'ing any less lol).


On a side note if I don't get into DIT then I'll have to wait untill next year to try again so if anyone knows anywhere looking for part-time staff for the next year or so let me know ;)

if you don't get your place in DIT then working for a year will help you! Not only will you have loads of money for boozing, but it will give you more free time for biking/studying when you go back! Also, if you end up doing a crap job for the guts of a year (i did one for 6 months after dropping out and then returning to college), you might end up hating it and so will have a better attitude when you get to college :)
