ok
Cycling Ireland are the governing body for cycling activities in this country,
and are responsible for providing a licence-application system for their members and (potential members) which is easy to use and straightforward
In my opinion they have failed to do so.
I have reported issues until I am blue in the face without satisfactory resolution.
It's time they started hearing what people think and all the various questions ye have.

For any licence-related queries can you drop an email to:
Geoff Liffey: Geoff@cyclingireland.ie
and
Heather Boyle Heather@cyclingireland.ie
and copy the Offroad Commission: offroad.commission@gmail.com

Geoff and Heather should assist in answering all CI related questions, after all, that is what they are paid to do.
They need to be made aware of the confusion members are feeling when trying to use the new system they have spent so much on.

Thanks
Fergal

does this mean we should be attempting to get our new licences or should we still be avoiding the system like the plague?

I hear that we may now need the 2010 license for the CX nationals - I tried to login this morning and am getting "Server Application Errors"

I have also sent Geoff and Heather an email about it (ccing the off-road email).

I mailed them them other day. Currently you cant pay online, you have to either ring them or post it in.

For the Cyclocross Nationals a 2009 or 2010 licence will suffice. The commissaire will have a list of riders who have applied for 2010 even if they haven't received their cards by then.

Seeing as you can't pay online anyway I'd recommend applying by post. You could include a cover letter saying you need the licence by a certain date.

Good to hear that thing got sorted out...

Ahh, post - I remember that. When I was little, there was a cartoon or something about it - Postman Fred, no Postman Foo, nahh, Postman Pat - thats it. In 2010, how quaint...

Next thing we will move to using facsimiles.

Is this just a ploy by CI to get extra work for cycle couriers?

Forget cycle couriers, I'm using the stagecoach.
