If you're not a member and you can read that section then I've made a terrible mistake and you should let me know too.

I feel its becoming crunch time with regard to a bike purchase.


My test bike was better this week. Or maybe I was just getting slightly better at riding the trails!

Hey Declan - the Epic is a nice bike alright. However for your first MTB it has to be a hardtail - no question.


- Cheaper (maybe)

- Easier to clean

- Easier to maintain

- Better to learn handling skills

- Lighter
