Travelling to Spain - bike weighing

I hear ye are off to Spain soon. We are just back from there after an ace few days riding. Link to some pics below

Just a word of warning - we travelled Dublin - Malaga with Ryanair and they have now started weighing the bikes. They have a scales beside the oversize luggage belt and one of the Ryanair dolly birds came with us to get the bikes weighed. One of the lads was 4 kgs over and got stung for €80. Limit is 20kg

We flew back with Aer Lingus and no problems there - they didn't bother weighing them

Is that scales still outside the oversize baggage area?
Might be good for getting a final weigh in before checkin, and then a jig around of stuff to different bags.. saves buying a bigger bath ;)

yes, thats the one they are using to weigh the bikes.

so yes, you could scoot over there and weigh it beforehand.

darn, will have to do some crerative packing.

I remember when they weighed them at the check in desk, I used to keep a sneaky hand on the bag and lift it as they weighed it :)


You can always just put pedals, saddle and seatpost in your other checked in bag
