So I was out for a little sneaky spin this evening, had just finished the bone shaker and was resting my weary limbs (on the hardtail) prior to visiting the dream track (i.e. I was well pulled in at the side of the trail) and a lad in full face lid on a dh rig comes tearing down and shouts out "Rider Up", well I was done for after that, I just couldn't stop laughing and it ruined the rest of my spin 'cause it's hard to concentrate when you're laughing like!

This boyo was obviously a racer 'cause he said "Rider up" and he was fairly pinning it (going faster than me :)) but in all fairness I think language for non race days is needed.

What did Robin use on that headcam, excuse me, mind if I pass there ?

if you have been "rider-upped" then it generally means you are slow and inferior, sorry Dec.....

I think you've got a winner there Morgan, I'm going to adopt this as my "rider approaching" warning, I'm going out for a spin later to test it on hikers :)

I think it was something like "Apologies if I compromised you" .... bad enough him passing going twice as fast but having time to "compromise" me as well!!!!

The Epic club races have gotten me well used to being "rider-upped", I've come to terms with my slowness and inferiority, it's not an issue :)

Wondering if I should have used 'walker up' instead..

Biked to work in the morning: when taking over a woman walking on the path by the estuary she jumps and exclaims 'oh, jayzus!' - probably startled her a bit more by slowing down and replying "sorry if I startled, but no I am not him" :P

you must have really freaked the guy out Dec..with your standing there looking at him..
myself and Alfie over took a couple of full on DH Gooberinoes one evening on the Boneshaker..
nothing really comes close to the satisfaction to be gained overtaking these flutes while your head to foot in Lycra on a Carbon Hardtail !!
well except for maybe a couple of Burmese maidens covered in chocolate tongue rolling your nethers..that would be more satisfying !
