I was out last night flying around the lead mines on a ninja mission and my back suspension on my epic has started to squeek. I am pretty sure it is the suspension system and not a pivot, any ideas of what I can do to fix this or who is the best person to take it to who can fix it.

Only 8 weeks till the Transwales so I am pretty eager to get this fixed ASAP.

i get this on my blur from time to time. Check the pivots - clean and grease them. If it's still squeeking then call Bob :P

as per nigel

then torque up

check for play in the back wheel and pivots (see if bearings gone)

if so, enduro bearing in the US for spares! or superstore lads are great at this! leave it to mick jordan you'll have no bike for the trans-wales!

douse it in WD-40, then crank your MP3 player up to 11

So is cycle super store the place to take this or would the bike rack be better?

you can do the pivots yourself I think. Who else has an EPIC? Paddy used to, but he's away at the moment. I'm not sure if you need tools. Greasing pitvots was easy on my blur. Getting bearings out is more tricky though.

Great mechanics in the Bike Rack. I'd give em both a ring first though to check if they have experience working on that frame and they have spare parts in if needed.

I left my Stumpjumper in the Bike Rack for susp. bearing s replacement after the Cycle-Inn made a toal balls of it, Bike Rack fixed in 2 hours what Cycle Inn couldn't in 2 weeks.

anyway - it's only squeeking - what are ye all talking about back wheels and pivots for?

Looking at the manual there are about a million pivots. Gonna drop it over to the bike rack and let them work there magic.

"anyway - it's only squeeking - what are ye all talking about back wheels and pivots for?"

because the pivots squeek if not tightened/greased correctly.

i think

mice squeek as well, are you going to fiddle with their pivots and grease them up too?
