Right, with the cancellation of the race, and the fact that the weather is supposed to be good in t he morning until mid/late afternoon, theres a lot of spins on
Beginning with Shane Lavelles early morning spin, ballinastoe, 8:30. Contact shane 0863195936.
Next is a Djouce spin with Declan and Liam, djouce lower carpark for 9:45. Contact Declan on 086 8226421
Myself, i'm gonna cycle to ballinastoe on the road, 2 or3 laps and then home. Not sure of the time but leaving around 9 or 10. 086 6087046
And finally, i believe Conor is considering a long one to ballinastoe, djouce area off road leaving from taylors. But he will post here later if he is, or anyone else post up either.
Paddy
I'll possibly also do a road spin.
Anyone interested?
Sean
Actually, anyone interested in doing the "Humpy 100" in Carlow?

Yes, I'm leaving Taylors around 10am, heading for Djouce via Prince Willies, and Crone. Depending on the legs, I might go up to B'stoe for a lap there. Coming back to Taylors via the road. The pace wont be too hectic, but there wont be many stops.
Interested?

sounds good for tomorrow Conor. I suppose you need something to distract from the pain of this afternoons result?

Good day out today, and the rain kept off too. Oisin, Cormac, Cait, Gary, and myself were out, and had a blast. 50 odd kms done as well.

Myself and Paddy took the road option - down to Ballinastoe, a lap of the track and then home again. A little over 80km in total - and sunny too!
I left it until about three o clock before I arrived at Ballinastoe and as I parked up the rain was just beginning to get heavy. I pondered a quick escape but decided to go for a rip anyway. And I'm delighted I did, it was such a great afternoon, I quickly forgot it was raining as I ripped along, did about one and a half loops, which was enough for today...it was great to be back riding...
What conditions are the other trails in, I am thinking of heading out to the Leadmines midweek, are they holding up with this weather?

Howiya Tom, there is some deadly stuff up the Leadmines at the moment. Some DHers have built a couple of short bermed runs which are good fun to ride. The EPIC course has seen better days but it is still riding really well. Cathy Gallaghers is weather proof so happy out there. Gimme a shout if you are... Havent been out in ages
Did 100km on the road with Jackie..who was doing it as a recovery spin after her triathlon yesterday...
Weather stayed dry, was a bit windy but a good spin and set a nice benchmark time of 20mins up the Wicklow Gap...
Glad to get the miles in ahead of the marathons coming up...

Hello Tom and Steverio..
The leadmines..well thanks to the efforts of Mr Kilkenny ( you now him as Guns Van Chin)..the EPIC racecourse is looking healthier..much appreciated..
However, some day i will show you the secret trails there and rock your socks off, however, however, and i know its not MAD people, Clipes are riding the course in the wrong direction, (normally I would applaud this as i think the twisty bit in Djouce is better in reverse) but whats happening is the Clipes who couldn't ride their way out of a Tallaght bordello, are dragging their oversized Giants and lapierres through the trails, which results in wrecking the corners..
When The EPIC Blast is over and I have some free time, I will be hinding out with my Daags and Weapons and even their mammies won't find them..
Goodnight and God Bless

Brutal liam .. brutal
Paddy, can't you as moderator do something about this awful behaviour?
He who would pick a pun would surely pick a pocket.
Hey guys don't knock the mighty pun, you gotta love the pun...
Stevie Boy I have lost all my numbers, so mail me yours...but here is the craic=Leadmines on Wednesday, howabout a daytime spin??..We'll head out there and get a few laps in, get all these holiday toxins out of my system...
Anyone else who is free is more than welcome, pace will be insanely fast...
And Ned Overbend we well be going so quick there won't be even tyre marks left behind, so the track will be safe,...
You dont like puns!?
Well you just tell Morgan...a bird in the hand is worth two in her bush.
Why couldn't the pony talk?
Because he was a little hoarse.
What are four hundred rabbits hopping backwards?
A receding hare line.
Why did the orange get fired from the Tropicana factory?
Because he couldn't concentrate.
Oh and by the way..did Morgan's duck look as nice as mine?

In fact his was nicer .. bright yellow, and it may have squeaked when squeezed.

Well my friend said she didn't wana see a picture of me on holidays with a bird between my legs...go fig??
