Need to purchase again as another pair have just packed it in. Anyone recommend a pair that will take a lot of abuse. Not looking for warm or waterproof, just a pair that will give the hands projection during offs and that will last 6 months+ before wearing\tearing etc. Thanks

I can recommend Altura Airstream.

Very comfortable and I am a happy owner for a while now.

Need to buy a second pair, as I am really happy to have it.

Cheers,

Peter

Gore ones with leather palms are very good as well and really last.

Fox Sidewinders, very comfy - none of that stupid palm-padding in them

Thanks for all the advice, does anyone know if any bricks and mortar shops stock the fox gloves (need to get a pair for the weekend)?

not sure, but another nice one is the Raceface Garda, I got mine from the Bikerack - drop Al a PM on epic forum and see if he has any in stock

While we are on the subject of gloves.. with all this wet weather any recommendations on wet weather gloves... apart from TomH's Marigold suggestion ;)

the problem with wet weather / winter gloves is that your hands sweat so much in them that they get as wet as they would with standard gloves, unless you pay a lot of money.....

661 storms are deadly for winter. Have had two pairs of them and they are perfect. Completely waterproof and warm yet not at all bulky. Not too expensive either. Highly reccommended. Would not wear them until it gets a lot colder though.

Cheers Fergal, might be a bit difficult cycling with one of those on each hand, especially if they insisted on stopping me for every minor traffic offence. Was also thinking of something.... well, more lightweight!
