Would there be much difference between the 35mm and the 50mm( well bar the obvious 15mm) I presume the 50mm would give u more control?

I have the 50mm one of those and its the perfect length for what I do on the bike. I don't think you'd notice a huge difference between 35 and 50mm. One thing with the short stems is that climbing really suffers - the front wanders all over the place cause you can't get your weight over the front wheel. But its worth it for the control going down.
Those ones are cheap, but they are really heavy. If I was buying again I'd spend more to get something lighter.

it might be a good idea to also check the length of your current stem, as i find even a 20mm different in the stem length makes a noticable difference, so if you're currently running a 100mm one then changing to 50mm will make a big difference.
(they're generally measured from the centre of the steerer tube to the centre of the handlebars)

Thanks lads, think ill go with the 50mm one. Not going to worry about the weight as i plan on letting gravity do the work, no uphill 4 me!!

Steve you're grand with your expensive Hussefelt or whatever stem you have which you got cheap on sale on CRC. Its light. Trust me those Kore ones are a block of metal and I notice the weight.
