It must be the engineer in me but can a buckled rim be fixed? I was up in Cloon 2day with my little bro and he bunched up my hardtail. He had a major off on the last section comin down to the car park and somehow buckled the back wheel.
As far as the cycling went, it was deadly. Really liked the track especially the last section, its class.

yep, as long as its not fluthered you can fix it
all you'll need is a spoke key, and some patience.
you can get a spoke key in any bike shop, there may even be one on your multitool..
basically slightly tightening and slightly loosening spokes pulls the rim in the correct direction.
its easier when the bike has rim brakes, as opposed to disc. That way you can see exactly where the problem is and what way the rim is pulling, as it hits the brake pads..
here's what the experts say

If you are doing it, be gentle, easy to round out those spokes at the ends if your not careful. Did it before when fixing a buckle on really old bike.
There was a lad in a bike shop in James street (years ago, gone now) that was able to get buckle out in 2 mins, used his services a few times back in the day when I used to jump off pallets on my old raleigh actuator (think that was what it was called).
