So what's the story with doing little jumps and drop off's on a hard tail? On the full sus I would use the suspension a little bit and load the suspension to give that little bit of lift.

Do you do the same thing on a hard tail?

Its more the landings that the suspension comes in handy, or rather when you mess up the landings it saves you! Dirt jumpers all use hard tails cause they have the skill to land smoothly. I suppose you can get more lift with a hard tail as well cause there is no suspension to suck up your momentum.

Jumping indeed. Are you trying to compensate for spending yesterday snuggled up in your duvet?

Ash is the savage of our household, while ash was out throwing her self down trails I spent the day making cakes and muffins.

PS: When doing that course up north, Glyn O'Brien said jumping is all about 'weighting on' the bike in attack position before the jump and then weighting off the bike as you leave the jump, keeping your arms even to ensure you go straight and keep bike level to land on two wheels.

Doesn't matter what type of bike it is.

I'm not sure about this - those look like some pretty nice cakes. These ones remind me of the trail yesterday.

Ah, don't throw him out, I think he's great :o)

I was never so happy when I walked in the door yesterday mucky from head to toe and there were loads of chocolate muffins waiting for me to stuff in my belly, yumyum, you're all just jealous :o)

At least we know who can make our cakes when we hold an NPS next year, I think we should make him a club apron!!
