To the best of my knowledge no trials riders wear clipless pedals, I'd say it would be a lot more dangerous if they did, I guess the technique is a lot like an exagerated bunny hop...

That was the year I think that I first got interested in Mountain Biking (I'm sure I still have a magazine from that year). It's strange looking back at it, and how young people look. I'm sure I still have a picture of Paul Hinton (as well as the rest of the Raleigh team) from 1991 and he looks about 10 years older. (actually that might have been in part 2 of the video)
