Anyone have a spare front brake i could borrow for White Horse this weekend. Busted up my brake on Sunday in Bree and had to do the second run without a front brake!!

Lookin at getting a new steed so dont want to buy a new brake just yet but if any1 had 1 lying around that would be sound

Ehh somehow managed to forget that i have 2 bikes, must be because the xtc 'stays over' in a different house.

Can i just take the front brake (giant mph) off the xtc and put it on the coiler or are there certain things to be taken into account?

As long as they use the same mount (IS or post mount) then it's pretty straightforward to switch it over.

What happened to the brake on the Kona?

Sound Morgan. Not so sure how it happened but a pin in the lever came out and i lost all the hydraulic fluid. Its just a bit hard to pinpoint which crash it happened in. Im goin 2 say it happened on my first crash on the first run and all the other ones were down to it!!!!!

Mightn't be a big deal to fix - give Al in the Bike Rack a call (01-2840609). Might have it fixed for the weekend. You'll need to fix it anyway if you're selling on the bike.

if like me you don't like messing with disc brakes, you could give the Bike Rack a buzz.

they sorted a similar problem on mine a couple of weeks back.

depending on the lever model, they may even have it in stock already.. just needed the piston pin replaced in my lever.
