Pretty eager eh? :)
Just wondering when the next beginners' day is planned. I have a few friends that would like to go after me telling them how great it was.

hopefully next Saturday - likely in Kindlestown, but we need to confirm:
MAD Committee - does this sound good?
I'm probably not going to be here for the weekend, but I will be around for the following one (the following Saturday?)
Kindlestown sounds good, I can give a hand out this Saturday.
We can spin over to Glen of Downs if people are up for it.

Unfotunately I'm a Sunday only guy, football takes precedence on Saturdays.
Would Kindlestown be a higher skill level than ballinastoe?

i wanna get back to regular ones of these !!
hate the word beginners though! ;-) more like "budding savage spins"!
@ quarryman! all trails a bit different! Kindlestown is more natural and loads of technical bits over a shrt loop!
give it a go mate, take it slow and then get a bit of speed into it! i used to hate it but now its super! the only issue is its far from da northside where I live !!!!

hey Niggelly-Diggelly
How did your shoulder hold-up on Sunday?
NigelS
29-09-2008, 06:25 PM
No problems with it. Was still vary wary of it on the right hand turns between the trees.
It would have been a perfect day apart from that little incident on the carpark berms! how embarrassing :-/
Will be back properly next week I reckon :)
And for digging :P

If some one can give me a lift on Saturday from the Dundrum area I will be able to help.
Same here. I can help out if some kind person will give me a lift! Again biscuits and petrol money available.

If I pass my test today I should be able to squeeze somebody in and help out!
If I drive as well as I ride my bike then this is probably unlikely :-/

I should be able to help out too. How about a rip around the Sugarloaf afterwards?

Now to steal mumsy's car :D :D :D

we no longer need to worry about the NCT now Paddy :P
Can give you lift then Ollie (you won the coin toss... sorry Grainne).
Can you email me directions to your place, google map or something.
Hi Liam,
If Grainne is near enough to you (?) I can pick up Ollie, as he's on my way out anyway...
Sean
Cool, that settles that.
You still coming Grainne?

Hi,
I'm new here (and in Ireland). Morgan told me by email about this day. I'd be glad to join... now I know where, but when do we meet on Saturday? and how long do you plan this "trip" please?
Btw... if someone can drive me there, I would also be glad...
Thanks
Arnaud
Hi Arnaud,
We'll assemble at 10am sharp on Saturday morning, and figure on being there for 2-3 hours. Kindlestown is handy because we are never too far from the cars, so you can drop out at any time.
We'll put a post with full details up on the forum tomorrow.

Great, thank you very much Sean!
In the worst case, I guess that I can come by the Dart, no (with a little ride from Greystones?)

You won't be allowed to take your bike on the Dart.

Any chance that i could have a lift for this Saturday?
:)
With the magic word, please......i promise i will be good.....
Alex
PS: I am living in the city center but i can cycle to Ticknock or else with no
problem.

Hi all,
I'm one of the polish girls following your group on Sunday (greetings for Paddy :) )
I'm a complete beginner (it was my first time on that Sunday), I was thinking about joing MAD next spring but after Ballinastoe I can't wait so long :D So now I'm thinking about going to Kindelstown with you but will I be able to do it with my great experience? Maybe I should wait for sth easier?

Hi Agata (and any other beginners out there),
Don't worry, just come along and all the MAD guides will make sure you're ok.
Its quite different from Ballinastoe because the trails are more natural, and its a bit more difficult, but probably more fun too!
Remember that this is being run for the beginners, and its the best way to start and to learn new techniques and skills.
Paddy (though not the Paddy you were referring to)

Dziendobry Agata, Jak sie masz.
Glad you enjoyed last Sunday. You and Eva should go on Saturday if you can and meet some more of the Club Members.Kindlestown is a really nice place for biking. Hope to see you there.
Liam,
Don't need the lift thanks. Family decided to come visit this weekend (they told me this morning at 7h30) so I won't be able to make it. Pity! Kindlestown is one of my favourites!
Thanks for the offer though!
No probs Grainne.
Anyone else need lift from D8 area?

Good day, particular thanks to the man with the crank extractor!
I greatly appreciated the undeserved general air of sympathy. Much better that the stoning, insults and mocking which was actually deserved. Anyone who wishes can drop their bike into the BadMechanics Breakatorium any time and it'll get the full treatment.

Yeah, I don't know what came over me. Here are some photos from the day, including some awesome riding and expressions from Oisin and Alex and also a guy who shouldn't be allowed anywhere near bike-tools.
