Commuter bike wanted

My commuter bike has been stolen today and I need replacement.

I was using MTB hardtail but now I want something faster.

I don't want to spend much & I don't want flashy bike because it will be locked outside. If you have something to offer just reply.

I have only in the last 3 weeks put on a new Gatorskin rear tyre and Shimano 16T freewheel. I also last year upgraded the F+R brakes to Shimano Tiagra cantis with new pads.
