hey all,
Monday 2nd January. First spin of the year. Yellow House at 10am. There are a few people interested in heading to Djouce so if you have access to a car can you try bring it? (and yes, i know this is a long shot!). If we can’t get enough transport then we’ll head towards the mountains. 3-4 hours i reckon. pace will be easy enough.

Hi All,
On Thursday we will hold a fairly long spin, from Rathfarnham to Crone Wood.
It will take most of the day, so bring plenty of food and water and a waterproof jacket.

Hey,
We’re going to meet at the Yellow House at 11am (note the time change to accommodate hangovers!) for a spin up through 3 rock and maybe over towards tibradden etc. depending on weather. It will be a good opportunity to burn off some of those yummy mince pies! This will be suitable for everybody so come along – the more, the merrier!

Christmas Eve Spin (EARLY!!!)

From the keyborad of Sean….
Hi all,
This Saturday brings, along with all the festive cheer and frivolity, one last chance to get out on the bike before filling yourslves with turkey and losing all of that hard-earned fitness on Sunday.
To hopefully accomodate as many people as possible, we have decided that the spin will go ahead a bit earlier than usual.
We will leave the Yellow House at 8am (come a few miutes earlier please), the spin will last approx 2 hours, so that will still leave you with the whole day to peel brussel sprouts, visit your granny or maybe even start your Christmas shopping.
It will, of course, mean leaving your house in the darkness, so you might consider a using light of some sorts….it is better to look like a Christmas tree than get run over by a dosy driver.

MAD Club Championships 2005

The 2005 MAD Club Championships are the highlight of our club calendar. It’s an opportunity to test yourself against other club members and to challenge your own skills. It’s also an opportunity to have a social winter spin and enjoy seasonal fare on the side of a hill. This year it’s taking place on December 18th – our last organised spin before Christmas. |
Wednesday 14th (Night Fun Race … sortof)

Meeting at ticknock entrance at 7pm. All with lights are welcome.
The plan is to head up and mark out a course of some form or another using my fancy new night course marker thingies (possibly using the club course depending on how energetic we’re feeling) and then run a small and highly disorganised race for the laugh.
After that we can head off down the boneshaker and try avoiding those big rocks that the mad person keeps putting in the way!

Sorry for the delay guys…..wasn’t sure if i would be working on sunday or not. I’m gonna go for a brief spin. up kilmashouge then over the the club course. a quick lap then i’m off to hit the books
