MAD Introductory MTB Course
During the month of September MAD will run a 5-week series of rides for people who want to take up mountainbiking or feel the need to improve. Each week the elite MAD trail guides will lead you around a new area, providing advice and support. There will also be a demonstration on the basics of bike maintenance. There may also be biscuits*.
Check out the beginners pages for details of what you’ll need to bring. If you have any questions or just want to let us know you’re interested, email beginners@madmtb.com.

Oh no, Gar & Dave Barry are really gonna have a laugh at the “bring biscuits” bit.
Quote from the latest IMBRC trailbuilding blog:
“…the food reference is for MAD, everything is in terms of cake and food with them”

It’s so long since I’ve been on a bike (I’m not even commuting these days), I probably qualify as a beginner. I’m going to make it along for some of this, sounds like a larf.

will there be biscuits and cakes?? MAD don’t do anything unless there’s biscuits and cakes. Or pies … pies could be good too …. mmmmmmmm … steak and cheese .. a new zealand classic.
(BTW: can’t make it this week as having to find a new housemate type of person)

Oh don’t start me on pies Paddy - New Zealand had good ones too? in Darling Harbour in Sydney there was this pie shop that did a curry-chicken pie with the lightest crispiest pastry - mmm….yum yum
Gar, is there anyone in IMBRC qualified to teach this hardcore course? By hardcore you mean on-the-edge wild and crazy MTBing right? Not dirty oul’ shaley-stone stuff?
