]]> By: Fergal http://www.madmtb.com/wordpress/2007/02/01/inter-club-night-races-leadmines-thurs-1-feb/comment-page-1/#comment-4398 Fergal Fri, 02 Feb 2007 09:38:00 +0000 http://www.madmtb.com/wordpress/?p=662#comment-4398 errr....not a great night for MAD at all.<br />A really nice mild night, and the track out their is nearly dusty dry with the 2nd section well bedded-in.<br />Tom suffered an evil mechanical before he even left home (sorry to hear that Tom)<br />I snapped my chain for the first time EVER on the 2nd lap and had to walk back to the start - my race over, grrrr! boo-hoo.<br /><br />Steve punctured I think on the 2nd lap and he was leading at the time -eeuuuww!<br />but....and get this......he didn't even have ANY spare tubes OR a pump!!!Oh Lord!!! <br />...and worse, yes - if it could get any worse, he confided in me (what does confided mean again?) that he has been without a pump or tubes for some time now!!!<br /><br />Ohhhhhhh---Mercy me!!<br /><br />He calls it 'Living on the Edge/Dangerously" - the nerve of the young fellah!!<br /><br />Morgan, we will have to deal with this sort of blatant tube-less, inflato-lacking negligence firmly and swiftly!<br />What say you as President - we make him wear slicks on his Reign for a month as penance for this mortal sin?<br /><br />Inga Doak - our newest MAD club member as of last night (our 41st member - hey hey!), was the only one of us to finish all her laps - fair play Inga and welcome to Irelands Premier MTB Club!<br /><br />The MAD standings in the inter-club league are as follows;<br />1. Oisin<br />2. Shane<br />3. Inga<br />4. Fergal<br />5. Steve<br />6. Nigel<br />7.
