Well Mark the answer i am afraid is no, however from up further on the trail there is video footage of my attempt to take to the rather tricky straight down route down as opposed to the switchbacks, where, rather embarrassingly, and much to everyones amusement, i ended up on the deck,…it was part of my psyche-myself-up approach, which ultimately back-fired…

Sorry to miss that one lads. Was doing some much needed shopping for Claudia. Shes an expensive bird, but well worth it once you get a ride

Great spin today out to Kindelstown and Glen of the Downs. Myself, Nigel, Tom, Judith, Rob, Cait, Graham and Oisin. We did a fairly sluggish lap of Kindelstown (man-eating sludge everywhere!) and then onto Glen of the Downs. Well what a place this is! First we did the bermy decent. And then again. And then the long FAASSSSSSST (or not so for me:() decent. We then climbed back up to the bermy decent AGAIN and trialed some gnarly steep bits before heading onto the gully of swoopyness and up the road home.

Think this is a nice time to mention Graham’s(Deadly Diamond) gorgeous Canyon XC machine. It is truly beautiful. The fork on it is mad! It has a brain or something, felt like getting it to do my exams. Really nifty stuff altogether…. Nigel has also resurected his Merlin in very shiny fashion. Very nice as always.

So whos on for this XC race next weekend?

deadly spin, the stunts were brilliant, glad both the lads excaped unscathed, i was ripping with the pedal as everything was going really, but sure these things happen…..and on the way home a warning light appeared on the dash of my car, flippin bugger…..

yep that was a bit of a demon one alright, no spewing but plenty of hell-bound crashes!

even before that though special mention must be made of MTB-Moses who made the whole spin in a pair of jesus-boots...

Now to the action:
First-up we had Mr "spit-in-the-face-of-danger" Noel Carr who got wrestled to the ground by a disgruntled gorse bush while hammering down the bermy-curvy trail down to Barnacullia, no sooner down than he was back up again, he's going to have some cross words with his bar-ends this evening....wouldn't like to be those bar-ends...

Then down the right-of-way and more top entertainment as Robb attempted to jump the steps and landed front wheel-first and just about recovered it.
Next up Noel and a spectacular over the bars multiple roll wipe-out - wow!
Budding semi-professional sports-camera action Media-Man Morgan was there to capture the rough and tumble.
Then off to Leadmines where Mark and his pedal parted company several times and he finally had to call it a day.
A non-record breaking puncture-repair time was logged by Oisin, then off home we went via the trail thru Barnaslingan where I parted company with bike control at the last section but the good ole elbow pads were there to rescue me.

oh, the biggest feed ever of smokey-bacon and pasta when I got home - yummy
