Glad ye liked the bridge. Was up there tonight and noticed it was a little shaky - dare I say I think yiz boys have already tucked into more than your share of bog burgers! Will head up on Friday to add in a few more struts to support the more rotund MAD mountain bikers!!

Yeah class spin. Good and fast and dangerous... the way they should be. Fergal's bike is amazing. No problem through the tight singletrack in the woods and you can really let rip over the rocks. I want one, but when I rang Canyon they said they are completely sold out of my size (medium).

that was a top spin tonight!
Headed up the shaker of the bones, halfway up fairy, then left along the fence.
Followed the trail along until the gap then across the wheel-engulfing burping bog and onto Daggetts path/trail.

Lashed along this and went into every one of the 408 puddles, that sure woke us up, then a hard right to bring us to the upper aerial-power-station thingy, down the very fast hardcore trail, a skittery left then right down the chocolate-chute across the road then bated down the rocky-gulley trail and into the entrance to the old MAD CC.
Hard tight right once inside the forest and followed rock-n-roll all the way to the end (Hamish was most impressed), then across the path and into MADjestic.

Did the full loop (well some of us got a wee bit detoured) including Richie Close's new bridge - it's deadly Richie! then back up the grunt-inducing fireroad, over the big hump-de-dump, up WORCs favourite trail on 3 rock, then into the old MAD CC - this was such great craic - hadn't been on it in yonks!
My big fat tyres were laughing at the sliddery roots and rocks.

Then down the lower 2 sections of the club course, along the muddy road (the highroad option along the left bank is the one to take - rooty but no mud).

Down that windy trail, back onto the fireroad, fast transition across to the boneshaker, clattered down the boneshaker with gusto, and finished with a grin as wide as yer one's arse from the health club sketch in Little Britain "hahhhlooo dahhliiing"
you must see it - it's class!
phew!
then home for a nice cup of tea.

Next scene report will be tomorrow from the DH track in Rostrevor where I'll be giving cornering lessons to Steve Peat and generally testing it out making sure it's up to scratch for the DH Nationals at the weekend (right).

Anyone that sat at home tonight watching Fair City while a fully functioning bike sat in their garage will be made eat a bog-burger on their next spin.
...that's gonna be a lot of bog burgers I'll have to make.....

PS:
Judith - I heard you were spotted out on your bike going like the clappers :-)
we'll see ya next time

Did the full loop (well some of us got a wee bit detoured) including Richie Close’s new bridge - it’s deadly Richie! then back up the grunt-inducing fireroad, over the big hump-de-dump, up WORCs favourite trail on 3 rock, then into the old MAD CC - this was such great craic - hadn’t been on it in yonks!
My big fat tyres were laughing at the sliddery roots and rocks.

Next scene report will be tomorrow from the DH track in Rostrevor where I’ll be giving cornering lessons to Steve Peat and generally testing it out making sure it’s up to scratch for the DH Nationals at the weekend (right).

Anyone that sat at home tonight watching Fair City while a fully functioning bike sat in their garage will be made eat a bog-burger on their next spin.
…that’s gonna be a lot of bog burgers I’ll have to make…..
