The Irish XC MTB National Championships make their 2008 return to the singletrack of Kilruddery estate, Co. Wicklow on Sunday 20th July

The event is being hosted by Team WORC and as ever will be a professionally managed and run affair.
Kilruddery was the opening venue of this years K-Capital Cup, which attracted a huge entry, and had an excellent series of fast singletrack sections and of course - ‘The Rock’.

The Nationals promises to be even better with work well underway on brand new sections, this race sees a return for the super-fast Belmont loop with the Belmont house being used in two directions.

This will be a beginners-pace spin, you will either need to have been out on a spin with MAD before or have had experience mountainbiking before.

Departing from Taylor’s Pub at 10:00am Saturday 12 July.
This means departing the pub at 10 am, so ensure to arrive in plenty of time to get yourself set-up, we cannot wait for people arriving late.
We will be out for approx 2.5 hours.

You must have:

The desire to have fun
A helmet
A pump
A bike in verified good working order
Suitable clothing (check the weather forecast)
At least one, preferably 2 spare tubes - no puncture repair kits!!
Tools to remove your tyre if you puncture - ie; tyre levers
Water/energy drink

You are recommended to have:
A multi-tool
Food / energy bar
