New Training Startup from MAD Rider

MAD member Ollie Castle starting a new company. Tribe Guru is an Irish startup aiming to provide turbo training videos for cyclists. They are currently in search of good quality video footage of any form of biking, from track racing to downhill, anything goes. Also, for a background track to peoples indoor suffering, they need music from up and coming bands or djs from any walk of life or genre.

Final Beginners Spin on Saturday

MADmtb is running the third and final beginners spin of the year on Saturday 15th May at Three Rock, which is here

We will aim to leave the carparks at 10am sharp, so aim to be at the venue for about 9.45am to give yourself enough time to get ready for the off. The spins should last a couple of hours, but can vary depending on the riders in the group. The group will go as fast as the slowest person, so no one will be left behind. If there is a big difference in the groups ability we can split it up to suit.
Summer XC Development Series

Kippure Estate invites you to join their Development Summer Series Mountain Bike Races to be held over the next few months on the estate.
The races are open to beginners and intermediate racers of all ages.
Entrance fee will be €10 (€5 for a one day race licence and €5 to cover costs) and any additional money raised will be used towards developing such things as a skills course and bike wash facility at Kippure to enable them to better host events for clubs in the future.
After the success for the XC Championships in 2008 and K-Capital Challenge Race Series final stage in 2009, Kippure Estate has entered into talks with Coillte, Wicklow County Tourism and Wicklow Rural Partnership to develop permanent mountain bike trails in the Athdown woods opposite the entrance to the estate. Coillte are very open to the idea and in conjunction with all parties a feasibility study is to be commissioned to look into the routes available, costing, etc.

MAD was featured on RTE’s Capital D programme this evening as part of their coverage of activities in the Dublin mountains. You can watch the show here (until May 27th):
MAD on the Podium in Killarney
0There was a good attendance from MAD at the second round of the XC NPS in Killarney on Sunday April 25th and we were rewarded with a couple of hard-earned podium positions.
Fergal was fourth in Veterans
while Oisin took third place in Masters.
